Lighthouse Ministries is looking for 10 willing and capable people to spend one to two years teaching at Elephant English School in Kampot, Cambodia, starting in January 2010. Kampot is a small coastal town located at the foot of Bokor mountain four hours from Phnom Penh. The city has had very little exposure to the gospel of Jesus Christ. We are interested in people who have a heart to minister to the lost about the love of God.
The purpose of Elephant English School is to:
1. Reach out to people in the city and province of Kampot, Cambodia with the gospel of Jesus Christ.2. To evangelize, train and disciple those that the Lord would add to His kingdom and plug them into the Khmer Church.
3. To teach English as a means to help the poor have better job opportunities.It is our desire to share the message of hope to everyone who attends the school in every class. Teachers will be teaching English using the Bible and different text books with the goal of building relationships with the students and leading them to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
Requirements:
In order to be accepted as a short term missionary with Lighthouse Ministries and teach at Elephant English School, the applicant must meet the following requirements:
1. Be a disciple of Jesus Christ2. Be committed to a local fellowship of believers3. Be committed to spreading the gospel of Jesus to the nations4. Be willing5. Be capable6. Be teachable7. Be fluent in EnglishThe applicant does not need to have (although these things would be helpful):
