Date of Birth: 13 Oct 92
Home Province: Takeo
Date Entered Heritage House: 04 Nov 04
Siblings Living in Heritage House: Krum, Yaht, Srey Ma
Child’s History:
We found out about Coy’s family through a pastor living in Takeo province. Coy’s mother had ten children. Their father died and the mother was left without anyone to care for her or the children. She found someone to remarry and take care of her, but he would not care of the children. Coy’s mother abandoned the children and moved to Thailand with her new husband.
We were first notified about Coy’s younger brother, Yaht. The children were all living in various places with anyone who would care for them. Yaht had been living at Heritage House for several months before we were able to find Coy, Krum and Srey Ma. We are unsure about the other children’s whereabouts.
Coy is a very bright young man who excels at whatever he does. He makes the top grades in his class every year. He is also a hard worker. During the summer break from school in 2007, Coy did an internship at a screen printing business and the business owner said that he had never had an employee work so hard. He has taken guitar lessons for two years and is a talented musician.
We have witenessed a real change in Coy's life since moving to Kampot. He is a leader in the house and sets the example to the other children. He works hard at school and is first in his class. He leads worship at Hosanna Church and at a cell group in a salt field. He is constantly looking for ways to reach out with the love of Jesus to others.
Prayer Request:
•
For his relationship with Jesus to continue to grow and deepen.
•
For him to truly understand that he is loved by God and that he will not be rejected by His heavenly Father.

Child’s History:
We found out about Krum’s family through a pastor living in Takeo province. Krum’s mother had ten children. Their father died and the mother was left without anyone to care for her or the children. She found someone to remarry and take care of her, but he would not care of the children. Krum’s mother abandoned the children and moved to Thailand with her new husband.
When we found Krum, he was going from house to house with his younger sister, Srey Ma (3 years old at the time), begging for food. He would ask people if they could sleep under their house and that he would work for them if they would let them sleep there and feed them. He was quite remarkable for a boy only 10 years old.
Krum had never been to school when he came to live at Heritage House. Vutha worked hard with him and now he is in school and doing really good. Krum is a very hard worker at anything that he does. He excels in all sports and anything involving working with your hands. He is very mechanically minded and we hope to get him in a vocational school after he completes 8th grade.
Krum is a real worshipper of Jesus. He is faithful in all things involving the Church and is a leader among the children in his devotion to the Lord.
Current Education: 2008-09 School Year – Sixth – Kampot Primary School
Prayer Request:
•
For Krum to continue to grow in his relationship with Jesus
•
For him to grow into a Biblical leader at school, Heritage House, and the Church

We found out about Srey Ma’s family through a pastor living in Takeo province. Srey Ma’s mother had ten children. Their father died and the mother was left without anyone to care for her or the children. She found someone to remarry and take care of her, but he would not care of the children. Srey Ma’s mother abandoned the children and moved to Thailand with her new husband.
Srey Ma was being taken care of by her ten year old brother, Krum, when we found them. At the time, she was three years old and they went from house to house begging for food. Srey Ma was basically unable to communicate when she moved into Heritage House. She was severely malnourished.
Thankfully, by God’s grace, she is now a healthy, happy little girl. She is in first grade at the School of Hope and is doing really good. She is still shy, but once she warms up to you, she will not let you go. Srey Ma is always smiling and laughing. She loves to play tag and color with the other little girls at Heritage House .
Current Education: 2008-09 School Year – Second – Kampot Elementary School
Prayer Request:
•
For Srey Ma to give her heart totally to Jesus
•
For her to continue to grow socially
•
For her to continue her education and get a high school diploma one day

Child’s History:
We found out about Yaht’s family through a pastor living in Takeo province. Yaht’s mother had ten children. Their father died and the mother was left without anyone to care for her or the children. She found someone to remarry and take care of her, but he would not care of the children. Yaht’s mother abandoned the children and moved to Thailand with her new husband.
Yaht came to Heritage House before his other brothers and sisters. He was living with an uncle who could not financially take care of him when he moved into our house. He had prayed for his other siblings come to live at the house and was thrilled when that prayer was answered a few months later and his two older brothers, Coy and Krum, and his younger sister, Srey Ma, moved into the house.
Yaht is an energetic young man who enjoys playing any kind of sport. He loves to play soccer, dodge ball, and volleyball. He also enjoys playing any kind of board or card game. He is always smiling and happy to get involved in anything going on.
Yaht gave his heart to Christ in 2005 and was baptized. Since that time we have witnessed a real change in his behavior. Before he would obey the rules of the house, but was always on looking for a “gray” area. Now he is eager to be involved in the nightly devotions, Church and is always helping the staff out with anything that needs to be done.
Current Education: 2008-09 School Year – Fifth – Kampot Elementary School
Prayer Request:
•
For Yaht to continue to grow in his relationship with Jesus
