CHANTAH
LIET KANAH
Date of Birth:  Oct. 3, 1997

Home Province: Kandal

Date Entered Heritage House: June 6, 2004

Siblings Living in Heritage House: Liet Kanah

Child’s History:

We learned about Chantah and his little sister, Liet Kanah, from a missionary couple.  The couple had been working in a village in Kandal province for many years and knew the family well.  The father had died of AIDS and the mother was dying of the disease.  The mother had given her heart to Jesus and was totally confident that when she died that she was going to spend eternity with her Savior.  She wanted to know that the children would be raised in a Christian environment before she passed away.  We assured her that we would take the children into Heritage House.

Chantah is a very bright young man with much going for him.  Because he is so clever, school is not always challenging for him.  Due to this, he is often in trouble at school for “goofing off” or not paying attention.  He is by far the most difficult child at Heritage House when it comes to keeping him focused.

Chantah has a very tender heart needs a lot of special attention.  He loves to sing and worship at devotion time and knows all of the Bible stories by heart.  He is eager to pray for anyone who needs a special touch from the Lord.  He is quick to care for his little sister and the other younger children.  He loves to sit, talk, tell stories and laugh.

Current Education:  2010-11 School Year – 6th – Kampot Elementary School

Prayer Requests:

That Chantah would have a personal, salvation experience with Jesus
That he would be emotionally healed
That his teachers and the dorm mom’s would have wisdom in how to keep him engaged
        and draw out his strengths

Child’s History:

We learned about Liet Kanah and her older brother, Chantah, from a missionary couple.

Liet Kanah was our youngest girl in the house for a long time, and as such, was spoiled by the other children and dorm mothers.  She is a precious little girl who loves to sing and pray.  She will close her eyes, raise her hands and worship Jesus with all of her might at nightly devotions.  Whenever anyone is sick or in need, she is in the front of the line to lay hands on them and pray for them.

She does well in school, but is very forgetful and has to be reminded to do her homework daily.  She is content to do whatever is going on and does not seem to give much thought to tomorrow.  She is truly happy in the moment and lives each day accordingly.

Current Education:  2010-11 School Year – 4th – Kampot Elementary School

Prayer Requests:
For Liet Kanah to experience the salvation that Jesus has to offer
For her heart to stay untainted from the world
